After its premiere at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Slavimir Stojanović's artwork will be presented at the Museum of Contemporary Arts Vojvodina through a retrospective exhibition marking the first 30 years of visual communication on the part of one of Serbia's most eminent graphic designers. The exhibition will show Slavimir Stojanović's artistic development - from the earliest childhood drawings, through posters, comic strips, illustrations, logotypes, magazine and record covers, all the way to awarded projects, developed for large international corporations.
Slavimir Stojanović was born in Belgrade in 1969, and started his designing career at an early age of 16. He studied Graphic Communication at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Design School in Goteborg, and Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. He worked as a creative director for numerous agencies in Serbia and Slovenia, while his design and advertising projects received over three hundred international awards and prizes. Slavimir Stojanović's work is exhibited at the Poster and Advertising Museum in Hamburg, Poster Museum in Warsaw, and Centre Pompidou in Paris. Numerous international journals and magazines have covered his career, such as Graphis, Print, Communication Arts, Creative Review, Computer Arts, Web Design, and others. In 2011, he was listed in Taschen's compilation of the most influential graphic designer of the world, Contemporary Graphic Design.
